No doubt I am working part time online and my ultimate goal is to go full-time online and quit my conventional business. End 2008 sounds a realistic goal for me to do it.

Setting goals to be achieved this next year hasn’t been my top priority for my mother in law, who is 94, is in the hospital with pneumonia and staph infection (MRSA). She is holding on by a straw, as the saying goes.

I keep her in prayers, call her daily and visit when I can. I should say my hubby goes into see his mom for my immune system is compromised with psoriatic arthritis and I take humira shots every 2 weeks.

I will come back here and write out my goals for 2008 when she is better.

I too, have some awesome goals on being on an international stage. I speak locally but want to expand my reach to help more people. I am a motivational speaker. My niche is helping real estate agents and I achieved some great goals in coaching this year. I took on new clients and it is very rewarding.

Here is what I want to do in 2008. As I was writing it, I followed your example. I had the following parts in the listing:

- Things to Achieve in 2008
- Things to Do in 2008
- Challenges I Am Facing

In fact. These are the things that I want to do in 2008.

- Make more money with my CAD business
- Start a newsletter about doing what you want to do
- Open a web site that supports my newsletter
- Find a mastermind group for the newsletter and the
web site
- Start as a speaker
- Set up a political party with other people
- Start with a TV program

Things to Achieve in 2008

- Make RM 3,000 per month with my CAD business and
with my newsletter. Selling e-books. Oh. RM 2,000 is two thousand Malaysian Ringgit. Less than US$ 900.

- Help 100 people to make a better life.

- Find 1,500 subscribers to my new newsletter. The
newsletter is about doing what you want to do. Instead of what people tell you to do.

- Generate 1,000 hits per month on my new web site.
The new web site is opened with my new newsletter. It is about doing what you want to do.

- Engage in acting as a speaker and talking about
political issues. I want to travel all over Malaysia and talk about Malaysian matters.

- Able to buy a single story house for my wife. The
single story house is going to cost about RM 150,000. About US$ 45,000.

- Write e-books about self development, investing
money, and masterminding. I want to sell my e-books to the subscribers of my newsletter.

- Find fifty Malaysians with whom I can set up a
political party. Those Malaysians are preferable Chinese or Indians.

- Present a TV program. In the TV program I want to
talk about doing what you want to do. I also want to help people to get started.

- Find five people with whom I can form a mastermind
group. The five people help me to get started with the newsletter and the web site.

Things to Do in 2008

- Spend more time on writing e-books for the new web
site. Also spend time on writing white papers for the CAD business.

- Monitor closely the people that I’m helping to lead
a better life. I show them how they can do what they want to do.

- Talk to event organizers for speaking about
political issues. I can also talk bout doing what you want to do.

- Meet 1,000 Chinese that are thinking of going away
from Malaysia. To lead a better life abroad. Let them join me in my political party.

- Find 500 affiliates for my new web site. The
affiliates help me to sell my e-books.

- Talk to a company that can help me to set up a web
site. The web site manages the subscribers and is used for the sale of e-books.

Challenges I Am Facing

- Do not have any contacts to event organizers to talk
at events

- Do not have contacts to Chinese or Indians that want to leave Malaysia.

- Limited Budget.

- Need to calculate the risks. Is it worth taking?

- Having trouble getting more response from postings
on forums.

- Making time for writing and for running my CAD
business

My first objective for 2008? It is to reach thousands more family caregivers with the help they need. How many of us come from the corporate world or other careers, only to have to drop them suddenly to care for a spouse or child who is in a terrible accident, diagnosed with cancer, or elderly parent with heart disease, dementia, Parkinson’s, or other degenerative disease?

Is it any wonder that caregiver burnout is very real? None of us is too young to be immune to the possibility … and it could happen sooner rather than later.

Doesn’t sound like a very cheerful note to start the New Year, does it? But it is!

Because people don’t have to learn the ropes the hard way while in the midst of the traumatic circumstances, as I did.

Terri Shearer worked with medical personnel to develop a “how to” guide (about 150 pages, dense, but illustrated and easily understood). It covers all kinds of things with which the family caregiver is faced. And the resource listings are quite extensive. That’s why some internet gurus said to charge $97 for it. Especially after they heard how many thousands of dollars she spent over the course of a year writing the book!

I wished I had this when I was thrust into a caregiving situation for my parents. But now Terri’s book has just been released on the internet… and to help people, it’s FREE!!! (For a short time only, about a week I think.)
