How social networking can expand your business?

Some may know it, some do not even know what it is. Social Networking is a connection between two parties from various social means of communications like speaking, emailing, sharing of name cards or barter exchanges. If done successful, it will not only make yourself more social able to others, but also give you chances to grow your business.

For example, recently I posted on a local business forum asking people for partnership and business. After a few days I managed to get some response from the forum and even some emailed me directly to meet up.

Because of just one post I had made on the local forum, it help my online biz have an opportunity to grow. What happened was that I managed to meet up with a few small startups that have lots of products to tell and surprisingly most of the replies I got from them only do the traditional way of business with no internet capabilities.

They look into my site, and see it as an open opportunity to widen and expose their business on the internet and decided to work with me. And today because of that post I had another 20 more products to sell online within even me purchasing the capital to sell the products and the margin was pretty good… cant say how much.. secret.. =P

So if you are new in the online internet business, the first thing you would like to do is build creditability to allow others to trust your business and socialize with more people in exchange groups like barter exchange events or networking dinners.

That is where you will get a chance to even know more people and socialize with more people and you are able to come out social networking success stories to share with others.

The power of social networking is equally as powerful as internet networking but social networking allows you to get closer to the person you are trying to socialize with. Imagine getting to know a multi million dollar company which has so many products in his factory but has no internet portal to sell his products. But there was a chance you met him up in some networking dinner, he knew you from there and wants to work with you.

The possibilities of social networking are endless and it should be something not left alone when marketing your business to anyone who meets you.

I really believe in social Networking, but think it needs to take another step forward. It has to be simple - right now users get lost in the maze on the sites, and even knowing which site to check out.

I agree with you that social networking will attract new business and help add to self worth. I view it as personal growth with the added benefit of business growth and sales.
