Hi everyone, like to wish all Chinese readers Gong Xi Fa Cai (one red packet pls.. =P ). My mum has been really busy lately, and that she even went to the extend and bought a new family car just to prepare for chinese new year.

The first stop during the lunar new year eve, we went to visit my cousin and she just give birth to my cute little baby cousin! Here’s a photo of her =)

Isn’t she cute ! haha =) I did not have any lunch that day and was really hungry so at the next stop, we went for our lunar new year buffet dinner, I quickly got started on the delicious food! Here’s a glimpse of what we had there, and it’s $43 per person!

Was the food really great? Well, because it’s a buffet style I cannot say it’s as good as been served while it’s still HOT! Most of the food was pretty cold already until they came out 2nd round of servings, and then I decided to go again.. haha

Yep what you see is shark fin, a very expensive boil of soup we all eat during chinese new year. I think one boil of real shark fin can cost about $8 to $20 depending on the quality of the shark fin =P

Also to finish up the dinner, we had Yu Sang a chinese lunar new year salad to usher in good luck for the new year. I think you can only see this in Asia as I hear rumors that the Yu Sang dish was invited by a Singapore restaurant and since then became a standard dish during lunar new year dinners.
