Where I Came From

I thought of sharing my background for students who are still looking for a course to study. My background is actually in the IT Industry. IT in general is pretty board, I am more specialized in Tele-Communications and IT together named as Diploma in Info-Communications.

I came from Temasek Poly and graduated in Year 2002 as the pioneer batch in Info-Comm in Singapore. Basically I am proud to say I really love my course a lot as it taught me lots of basic fundamentals about IT and Tele-Communications.

I was taught on basic HTML languages on setting a website and also expose to Mutimedia Flash animation! That was truely my first hand experience in web design back then in 1999. That is where I started to learn more on programming and Java languages.

I was also taught about Computer Networks, WAP Mobile Application Implementations, Business Basics, Mobile Applications. Which I find it very interesting, since I was young at the age of 9 I remembered my Dad gave me a 386 computer to play with and from there I was addicted to IT stuff.

Along my journey in Temasek Poly, I headed also the 1st Community in Info-Comm as the Program Head for i.HUB an voluntary based community to help students in the community.

Being in the community, not help me in my communication skills but also help me improve on my management skills. With all the dedicated and friendly lectures we had in school. We were blessed with well prepared writing materials and tutorials to learn from and was really important to build our base in the world of Info-Comm.

During my last year in my 3 year course in Temasek Poly, we had attachment programs. I was pretty lucky to be able to work in a big company AVAYA Singapore which shown me great exposure on setting real business wireless and wired networks. I will never forget the friends I have met there and truly had learn pretty a lot from the attachment itself.

At my last seminar of my course, we had a FYP which I had created a alumni portal for IFC which really showed me some real life examples of corporate sites.

Overall, I seriously enjoy my whole 3 years in Temasek Poly and if you like to know more about the course you can click here to find out more
