3 Ways To Get More Traffic From Your Blog Without More Marketing Effort…

del.icio.us it! | reddit it! | stumble it!

If you are running a blog today, you would want to read these few things I am about to share. While most new blogs normally get an average 10 hits or 20 hits a day it is consider not a traffic stats to begin with.

I can remember the days when my blog traffic was only 5 a day was I was constantly thinking how am I going to make a living if there were so few visitors to my blog. So what did I do that helped me created more traffic on my blog?

1. Create a Contest With Your Readers

This is a great tactic you can use to create some form of activity within your readers. The best type of contest would be a contest on giving away cash prizes. People love money and what you can do before they get the prize you can suggest that they need to email to at least 5 friends a gift you have created to in order to get the prize. Or you can ask your readers to find some hidden word within the blog to find the prize.

2. Start Building A List From Giving Away A FREE Gift

A great example how I did that was a FREE book that I give away that you can see above. Although it maybe used before by many marketers online but it still works very well even until today! However when you try to promote your free gift, you want to ensure that your readers are able to find it on your blog.

Some tips to do that is to always place your FREE gift where your readers and see the most which is the current position of my FREE gift above as you can see.

3. Email To Your List Of Close Friends About Your Blog

Because your friends already know who you are in real person, you will want to encourage to visit your blog. As you will be posting regular updates on your blogs. Your friend would be really interested to read your content and that in return can build some more loyal readers to your blog.

Food Of Thought

Although these few tactics will help in the short run but you may also want to consider having a gamed plan when it comes to marketing your blog online. Marketing is a process where you do not want to stop doing as it part and puzzle of life that people will not know where your blog is unless you tell them where to find it.

Hi Alvin,

thanks for the tips. i believe your “atomic blogging” has a lot more good material related to blogging. unfortunately can’t buy it at the moment. hopefully by the time i start blogging i could afford to buy your ebooks. in the meantime got to concentrate on my sites.

Contest? Is it very hard to start one? I mean what kind of incentive can I use to actually make the contest work?

Should the prize be in cash incentive or can it be something else instead of money?

You going to start a contest here? Wow. It will be earth shattering. I got to see it in action. I will defintely learn something from there.
