Google’s New Insight Search

Google just recently launched a new web tool for Internet Marketers like us which is called Google Insight. The tool has most of the features in Google Trends but with more enchanced features.

Here’s An Inside Scoop On Google’s Insight!

1. You can use it to compared different set of keywords and see their trend differents according to time, search term & country area.

Here’s an explaination by Google’s Insight Team what the graph numbers means taken from their help center link here

When you apply the Category filter, you’ll see another graph shown under the Growth relative to category tab. This graph will show the change over time as a percentage of growth, with respect to the first date on the graph (or the first date that has data). That’s why you’ll notice that instead of a 0-100 label on the y-axis of the category comparison graph, you’ll see a label with a range of -100% or +100%, and a starting point of 0.

The numbers on the graph reflect how many searches have been done for a particular term, relative to the total number of searches done on Google over time. They don’t represent absolute search volume numbers, because the data is normalized and presented on a scale from 0-100; each point on the graph is divided by the highest point, or 100. The numbers next to the search terms above the graph are summaries, or totals.

Read more about how we scale and normalize the data.

2. Another great feature that I like about the tool, you can also see which region on the map has the most searches according to color codes by keywords

3. And the last most important feature is you can use the tool to get more keyword ideas for your keyword research.

Keyword to me are always important to me, it’s too bad the tool does not show the amount of searches in the country but they do provide a great scale of differents in terms of search for different keywords giving you a better idea what other related niches are there.

Summary

Overall I found the web based tool really useful in helping me to find more related keywords and also helps to determine which parts of a country are looking for some keywords. That would help a lot if you are doing Adwords so that you can advertise more in a country area then the whole country :)

  1. Google Insight appears to be providing even more in depth information about that which online entities are so concerned with. Global personnel quickly identify an area that is lacking in applications, and produce something that satisfies the audience.
