Make Money Online, Is It Possible? – Part 4

Since my 1st article that I have written here , already more then 4,000+ readers have read the series and got in more then a 100 responses so far :) I had covered on the following topics on mindset, focus and in the last article was about selecting your niche.

In this part of the series I will be exposing to you more details on how to select a product online to sell. Before you proceed on, do remember to click here to subscribe :)

Select A Product – The Basics

Before being able to select a profitable product, one must first understand what determines the value of the product. The reason is because people who buy products online do not normally buy products based on what it is but based on how it is presented to you.

Have you ever encountered where Big Gurus promote big ticket items to you that is real expensive and seems to be a real great product but when you actually bought it , it’s a total junk?

Or have you experience where you found products that were real cheap and the presentation was really bad with bad graphics but when you bought it. It was surprisingly a good product?

The most important element when it comes to selecting a product are the conversion numbers to sales! But at the same time you have to also make sure the product is great to prevent people doing refunds.

What Type Of Products Should You Sell?

In general, there are various kinds of products that you can sell online which are mainly ebooks, dvd courses, audio, videos & not forgetting physical products too. However the most profitable among them all in my experience are selling only digital products.

The reason is because digital products normally have a high profit margin compared to other forms of product.

Only Sell Products That You Trust & Feel Good About Them

The reason I say this is because, many affiliates fall into the trap of promoting products that they have no trust in it or have no idea what it is. This is real unhealthy for your business as customers who had purchased from you as chances are they will email you when it comes to complains :(

So What Products Do You Sell?

Now I have some what explain on how to choose a product to sell, I like to find out from you what are the three products that you sell on your website or blog? Just post your answer by commenting below :)

Hi Alvin, another informative post. As for me, I have explored many websites and read many pdf documents or ebooks until I am “LOST” and need a Shepherd to lead me back into the midst.

I have tested setting up of website and blog over the past 3 months but have yet to sell anything due to indecision on the kind of product to market. I guess I have not decide on what Niche I am interested in the first place.

Now I am venturing into the next “Must Have” function of Internet Marketing which I hope will lead me even nearer to the objective I need. That is, getting an Autoresponder and creating opt-In Page so that I can generate the Name List for my future endeavour.

I strongly believed that once I have done the above, I can start doing a proper Sales function such as Affiliate Referencing or sell an eBook ( which I still cannot decide the subject for it ) to make my FIRST S$ from the Internet.

I know these process are not easy but with a helpful hand from someone like you, I will definitely make my first earning before End March.

Cheers and have a wonderful days ahead !

    William

    Hi Alvin

You spotted one of the most important and compound issue-How to sell our product?
The first question, how tochoose a product,i jumped over, because i think it is assumed that we pick up one that we can put love and will in,at least i feel it is the best way.
My product is e-book i have written myself, which means with love and belief it is something i am able to do in an unique way.
It is ebook about How to Stay Young forever;so,if you want to find your Secret Grail
    Long Live Witches

Amazon products related to what I blog about – which I do have some sales for. I also sell Signing Time DVDs for children – although no sales yet. I have them myself and I love them but still haven’t been able to sell any.

    That’s about it.

    Again Alvin a great post.
I just started my blog, so for now, I’m not selling anything yet. I think before selling something to the customers in general, you need to find out what their needs are. Are they looking for a problem to solve. Because I have subscriptions to several mailing lists from the so called ‘guru’s,I’m bombarded every day with buy this or buy that. They even don’t know what I’m really looking for.
So my preference, in the future, sould be promoting good membership sites. Why, yiu ask. They give you a monthly recurring income.
    regards,
    Philippe

I sell Atomic Blogging but put that on hold waiting for your new release,

-as I can’t sell something I have never tried before and
-I don’t feel like selling version 2 when there is a version 3 to come.

    Hi Alvin,
It is true that you have to believe in and love your product. If you don’t, you won’t work real hard to promote it! Also, if you don’t have a really good feeling about it, that “energy” will come across to others as well. My own blog has a mix of stories (usually with a message), some marketing and writing tips, etc – and the only thing “for sale” on it is a Free Report that, if people are interested in, they can opt-in and get. Obviously some will, and some won’t – but I just love writing the blog! I feel good about giving value or even just some words of inspiration and motivation. Thank you for your post!
    Cheers,
    Kathy

  12. Hey, currently I don’t really sell anything on my blog yet. I’m just giving useful forex advice and tips so that people can earn extra or full time income from trading.

But I’m developing a forex product and membership site now to help people trade with pin point decisions. :) So will keep you updated when my other site is up. It should have a great demand. :)

    Regards,
    Dan

  14. Bo Tipton says:

I sell several different things on several different sites but I will list the ones that make me the most money right now.

The most popular and profitable is a niche e-book cookbook
    Called “Native American Cooking”

The second one as far as profitability is another niche e-book on genealogy research

How To Find Your Native American Ancestors

On my most blogs I get the most response from hosting, auto responders and E-books on blogging.

    Thanks
