Thanks Alvin! You have been a great mentor. Thanks for you enlightening…I would work hard to acheive my goal…
Cool! Very clear information over the video! Thank’s Alvin!
Good content. Just wanted to add some points here that may be helpful for those looking out for professional SEO services. There are tons of SEO companies offering different SEO packages and solutions at highly competitive rates. However, when looking our for these services, its important to not only look at the affordability factor but also what is unique about their SEO service and what differentiates them from other companies.
While choosing an SEO company its equally important to analyze the SEO company’s website in terms of their Rankings, Yahoo links, Google index, Alexa ranking and similar such factors which indicates the company’s expertise in the field of SEO. So make sure you are doing enough research and smart work before investing your advertising spend.
Getting traffic from SB, in my experience doesn’t hold long, it would be better getting from search engine it reflects the interest of the person to your niche

3.traffic exchanges
4Social Networks
5.Search engines/i don’t have effect to them/still don’t use profesional tools,SEO and the rest

Another great post Alvin , looks like you got a few comments this time .
Mostly I use a combo of articles and long tail ppc , depends on what I am promoting . To the guys complaining of getting email promos – what did you expect when you signed up ? It is called a joint-venture… DUH
Hi Alvin,
Yes, I agree using Twitter and social media helps generate traffic and it seems to be the easiest way to build a large list of followers because it doesn’t require you to send out invites and wait for people to respond.
Interesting articles!
Hey Alvin,
Again as usual a great post.
What are my 5 traffic tactics :
-Minimum one blogpost a week
-Writing one or two articles and submit to 100 article directories
-Reply on forum threads regarding the niche
-Write comment on other blogs
-Trying to build a huge list
-Using the AtomicBlog3.0 plugin at my blogs
Regards,
Philippe
1. blog carnivals
2. comment marketing
3. forums
4. social networking – facebook and twitter
5. SEO – majority of my blog visitors are from search engines currently.
I see occasional spikes of increased RSS subscriptions on my feedburner and then it drops again but I don’t understand what causes it.
Same experience I’ve got, it seems many IM Gurus are collaborateurs in this issue as also I saw many sales letter for one products yet many top IM is promoting and hitting my inbox, for example now that is top news is PPC Classroom. Please advice is this some kind of top IM conspiracy or just trying to catch newbies like us.
A lot of what you are seeing is the Guru’s doing what we do. They know ahead of time of the launch as a JV partner and they know because of the person behind it there are a certain number of people going to buy the product just because who is launching it.
They are in this for the money just like many are. They know some of the people on their list are going to buy the product so that email to their list so that they are the ones who sales to them. It is affiliate marketing just like many of us do. Since most of us are on the list of several top affiliate marketer’s it seem like everyone and their dog is selling the product.
Times are bad but business is not if you are marketing a good product that helps people accomplish their goals like Alvin’s Atomic Blogging.

I’ve got a strong sense that time is really bad many IM is not doing well. Lately, I keep receiving emails from those IM gurus that I subscribed to. These emails are in fact link to sales letter that promoting other Internet Marketer’s products.
Is it really so bad that all Internet Marketers have to help each other in order to survive? How is the current market situation affect your IM income?
Hi Alvin,
I stumbled upon your GatherSuccess blog a few weeks back and was one of the first to purchase your new Atomic Blogging package. I also follow pro bloggers like Gobala Krishnan and Yaro Starak. I have certainly learned a lot from all three of you. My favorite tip though came from Yaro where he suggested that I just continue writing quality blog content.
As the saying goes in the movie “Field of Dreams” – “…build it and they will come”, that’s what I did. I launched my health blog at http://www.PureHealthTips.com last November and just started completely rewriting a bunch of health PLR articles I had on my hard drive and put them on my blog one by one.
I also added a multi-language plugin to the blog which would display the content in around 31 different languages depending on which “flag” you clicked on. This helped traffic tremendously.
Now, although I have about 70 posts on the blog so far, I only social bookmarked one or two blog posts. I also rewrote a few blog posts so I could submit the re-writes to EzineArticles.com.
On the very first article I submitted to EzineArticles, I was already granted “Expert Author status”. This was a shock, as I was led to believe that new members had to submit at least 10 articles on a particular topic to EzineArticles before being recognized as an expert.
So…just by writing quality blog content and submitting re-writes of each blog post to article directories, my traffic is really starting to pick up.
The bonus is that my Adsense income is picking up as well. I love residual income. I will be promoting more clickbank products but I really like the passive approach to making money more so than the dynamic approach.
The other thing that is helping me pick up traffic is by the use of Twitter. By the way Alvin, I am following you as well. You can follow me to by going to http://twitter.com/JoeBlue.
I just started twittering six days ago and already have 450 followers so far. Every time I learn something, I will twitter it. I still have lots to learn, but as I pick something up I will take action on it and then pass it on so that others can learn from it as well.
Anyway Alvin, there’s a lot more I can say here, but… I need to get back to work and …get some more traffic.
Joe
Good post and good question Alvin
The five (okay there are six) things I use to get traffic to my sites are (not necessarily in this order)
1. Social networking like Twitter, Squido, Facebook, and others. Once it is set up it does not take long to keep the wheel turning.
2. Safelist. Yes I use safelist and it still works if you learn how to use them. It takes be about 30 minutes a day and each mailing will get me 3 to 5 new people on my mailing list and most days at least one sale of whatever I am promoting.
3. Mailing list I use safelist and traffic exchanges to build my mailing list. The only thing I will advertise on a traffic exchange is an opt in form to join my list and if done right it works. Again takes about 30 minutes a day on traffic exchanges to keep the wheel turning once it is set up.
4. I use Viral Ad displays like widgeteer http://thewidgeteers.com/?VIP=6546 where every time I display their widget on one of my sites I get my ad displayed on someones Else’s site. Works for me. It gives me 500 to 1000 hits to my site a month. I have the widget on several sites and direct all the traffic I earn back to my main site.
5. Blog, forums and sites like Yahoo Answers. I consistently get traffic from post I made several months ago. One of my favorite ways to get traffic and I spend 45 minutes a day on this.
Branding is one of the things that has made a difference in my traffic. Just like Alvin does everything I do has my name on it somewhere. The more I have branded what I do the more people have contacted me by email asking for help building their business.
When I say it takes me 30 minutes a day or 45 minutes a day that is what I spend on it. I have alarms set on the computer and a schedule of what I am going to work on each day. When it is time to mail to safelist a alert pops up and 30 minutes later it tells me time is up. I stick to the schedule and get a lot more done each day.
Thanks

Man you got it going on.
Social media is another good source of traffic. For example, I do get a lot of traffic from Twitter.
Hi Alvin
The simplest way to answer your question happens to be just starting from my experience:
Speaking about traffic ithink of blog promotion since i paid the most attention to my blog.If google listing has been appreciated in great deal, then my commitment to online-literature/Forum made good./you already mentioned forums/;the same way, every my post to legendary times.com/forum effected the display of my work.
Regarding to traffic exchanges, statistic data from my wordpress.com blog showed some hits;it matters to auto surf traffic exchange and WebbizInsider.
It seems getting links from other people’s blog posts deserves the highest approval-it makes your link to my blog.
Search engines have their role but it doesn’t depends on me,besides my addiction to do it the more i can.
Thank you
I hope my comment has been not in vain.
Hi,
Yet another great post – Thanks
Proson, that’s a great response too but I believe most people strugle to build a mailing list. Your suggestion is good considering that one knows how to actually build a list but many are just starting out.
I think the easiest way to build a fan list in to engage in social communities that center around one’s chosen niche. Interaction with like minded people in forums, web 2.0 properties builds relationships faster and does away with slow starters like SEO.
One should use both approaches (SEO & Networking) to maximize their reach. SEO effects may take a while to show but networking in near instant. Just dont spam those you meet and be sincere in your comments or suggestions and people will trust and pay attention to what you have to say or recommend as your relationship with them grows.
Patience is crucial and realising that it takes some time to build trust – Just keep at it. What I found to work well is giving valuable info free to start over a period of time before thinking of offering anything for sale. Downloadable products like free short reports work well as you can have an opt-in on the page too. I’ve tested forced opt-in before download and optional optins with different results so test.
Wow! Such a long comment – I better stop here
All the best
Email marketing is always good as well. SEO is a great free source of traffic but it takes time to get your site to top 10 if the keywords are rather competitive. Instead waiting your to be search optimized, why not learn a fastest way of getting tons of quality low cost traffic building a list of contact emails in the first place. It is that hard and it doesn’t cost much just need a reliable autoresponder software to automate your email marketing purpose for you.
Hi Alvin,
Usually I use to send article to article directories, but there is an important issue that I would like to share and that is, sometime if you are writing an article about make money online, usually most people will send in the category that indicates internet marketing or blogging, but I once test drive sending in to business opportunity category and found there is a large different in page view which resulted more page view in the business opportunity category.
And same goes to one of my sexual post, I actually test drive that article into sexual category and got less then 100 page view but when I send into the man’s issue category it got about 500 page views.
I hopes this message could sparks some of people’s mind in sending article in to article directories…

Hi Alvin,
Thanks for sharing your top 5 traffic tactics. I have some questions regarding joint venture. How do I find JV for my niche and how to approach them. Thanks.
Regards,
Dan
Thanks Alvin, that puzzles me because when top advertizers want to put banner they look your alexa and page rank as indicator, so is like TLA.If that is the case, then in your opinion it is more important to get search engine from visitors , if then my PR is getting lower and alexa, will I loose the interest of those advertizers people? Thanks Alvin
Hi Alvin,
Thanks for sharing the idea, how about making blog comments to blog that have PR3 and above, from that point can we build massive traffic, will this increase our link strength in search engine?Need your input.thx
page rank is actually not that important to look out for when it comes to marketing or SEO because… search just dont like blogs that sell text link that is why the page rank are low
