Top 10 Mistakes In Blogging – Part 2/3

This is a continuous part of the 1st article that I have written here. Here’s the next 3 major mistakes made by lots of bloggers around the world.

4. Always Use A .COM To Represent Your Blog

Most people who blog online would use free services like blogger to create their own personal blog. However by this do, you are actually not helping yourself in branding your blog to be a professional blog. It is always recommended to get a .COM for your own blog site.

The recommend platform to create any blog is by using the WordPress free open source software that can be found at this website. If you are looking for WordPress themes, you can click here to claim your free WordPress themes created by me :)

5. Post Articles Regularly On Your Blog

Blogging can be a real tiring thing to do on a daily basics. However, many fail to realized that if they do not update their blog often the chances of getting your blog exposed on the internet would be lessier.

Infact, I have blog for more then 2 years and what I realized is that when you have more content on your blog. The chances of them been picked up by Google can be pretty high once you know how to target the right keywords on your blog.

This in return can help to bring more traffic to your blog and the best part it’s all free. The recommend amount of articles to be posted is at least one blog post every 3 days.

6. Install Tracking Softwares To Find Out What Your Visitors Are Doing

There are various free tools, you can use to track what your visitors are doing. It’s an important element in online business that many people always fail to do. Two free software that I used personally are the MyBlogLog tracking tool and CrazyEgg tool.

With these two tools, you will be able to find out visually what your readers are doing on your blog and you will also be able to track what your readers like to click and read on your blog. Which are important information for you :)

7. Interact With Your Readers

An active and successful blog will only be good if they managed to connect to their readers. Getting your readers to interact with you is another important part in blogging. As to what I realized, the more you are able to connect to your readers, the more they are willing to trust you.

Being trust from your readers is important when it comes to selling products to your readers. Once they have trust in you, chances of them getting a recommended product from you would also be higher :)

I am going to stop here and post the next part of article in the next post :) Mean while, you can find out what I am doing now by following my Twitter here. Hi Alvin,

I coldnt agree more with your points in this whole 3 part post.

The main point for me is interacting with the site visitors. I found it some times gets the point where bloggers resort to leavign them selves comments as other people to instigate or initiate others to comment.

It works too as I’ve done in on several blogs to kick start them and advised some people to do the same with similar results :)

    Thank you

    William

I see some mistakes! See below.

    1. “However by this do, you” – This would make more sense if you put doing this between by and the comma.
    2. “the internet would be lessier.” – Take out the i.
    3. “Infact, I have blog for” – Put a space after in. Put ged after blog.
    4. “Being trust from your” – Put ed after trust.
    5. “your free WordPress themes” – Isn’t there one, not counting the colour schemes?
    6. “The recommend platform” – Put ed after recommend.
    7. “fail to realized” – Take out the d.
    8. “next 3 major mistakes” – You added 4!
    9. “real tiring” – Put ly after real.
    10. “more then” – Replace e with a.
    11. “good if they” – Doesn’t they connote lots of people? Wouldn’t the right word be it?
    12. “Mean while, you can find” – There’s no space in meanwhile!

Regarding #4, what’s wrong with using other TLDs that are not .com? I associate .com as American/USA and short for company.

I would like to add something to #5. To take the worry out of posting regularly, you can make posts in advance. Then you edit those posts with a time stamp, so they show up in the future automatically.

  9. This is another great post about blogging. Again newbies looking to start a blog should use these tips.

I have a blogger blog that I am using right now. But I am going to transfer over to a .com very soon. It adds a brand to your blog and also can get more visitors and better SERPs.

You need to post frequently, it will make both Google and your readers love your blog. If you have readers who come everyday to look at your blog but you don’t have a new article up they will eventually stop coming because there is nothing new to see.

Tracking is also very important. You need to find out what posts your readers like and where they are coming from. You can then target your blog better to make money money :)

  10. MLM Business says:

I also use the tracking software from Google. I think Google Analytics and the Google Webmaster Tools are great. They give you a lot of information about your visitors and about your website.
In the Google Webmaster Tools you are able to check your Google rankings and it even shows for which keywords you rank and in which country. I would recommend it to every one.
