I was looking through my old photos in my cupboard and I saw a few photos of my dad’s shop and I thought why not post about it. Je cherchais à travers mes vieilles photos dans mon placard et j'ai vu quelques photos de mon père magasin et j'ai pensé pourquoi ne pas le poster.
The photo you see above is my Dad also known as the “SABOKING”, he has this store at Marine Parade in the past for more then 10 years. La photo que vous voyez ci-dessus est mon père aussi connu sous le nom de "SABOKING", at-il a ce magasin de Marine Parade dans le passé pour plus de 10 ans. Selling delicious and mouth watering claypot rice, we get people all over Singapore always crowding our store once we always open our store at 11am everyday. Vendre délicieux et de la bouche d'arrosage claypot riz, on obtient toutes les personnes toujours plus de Singapour encombrement notre magasin une fois nous avons toujours ouvert notre magasin à 11h tous les jours.
I remember the days when I was much younger, I would help out my dad at the shop to take orders and help out washing those claypots. Je me rappelle l'époque où j'étais beaucoup plus jeune, je voudrais aider mon père à l'atelier pour prendre les commandes et les aider à se laver les claypots.
Here is another picture of the food that my dad was selling at that time. Voici une autre photo de la nourriture que mon père vendait à ce moment-là.
If I am not wrong this pictures were taken in 1997 or so, which that time I was still a kid then.. Si je ne suis pas mal cette photo ont été prises en 1997 environ, où ce délai, j'étais encore un enfant alors .. =P But of all the business man in the world, the person I admire the most is my dad, the reason was the great entrepreneurship that he has in him! = P Mais de tous les homme d'affaires dans le monde, la personne que j'admire le plus, c'est mon père, la raison en est le grand esprit d'entreprise qu'il a en lui!
He was always out to reengineer how claypot was made. Il était toujours à restructurer claypot comment a été faite. Normally in traditional food store, claypot rice were cook using gas. Normalement en magasin de produits alimentaires traditionnels, de riz ont été claypot cuire utilisant le gaz. But my dad wanted to be different and cook his claypot using microwaves. That was the reason why we were the fastest claypot in the east, as we can serve you a delicious claypot in just 3 minutes or less! Not only that my dad was so smart, he even invented various kinds of different types of claypots. Non seulement que mon père était tellement intelligent, il a même inventé toutes sortes de différents types de claypots. Here was what my dad had in his menu, black pepper chicken claypot rice, tiger chicken claypot rice, banana chicken claypot rice and even once cheese chicken claypot rice! Voici ce que mon père avait dans son menu, du poivre noir claypot riz poulet, poulet tigre claypot riz, la banane poulet claypot riz et même une fois le poulet de fromage claypot riz! And every new dish that my dad invented we always had a great sell out and customers keep coming back and wanted to know what was my dad’s latest creation. Et chaque nouveau plat que mon père nous a inventé toujours eu une grande vendre et garder les clients à revenir et a voulu savoir ce qui était mon père dernière création.
I have learnt so much from my dad when I was helping out in his shop and I feel if it wasn’t for my dad’s drive to do business I would not be who I am today. J'ai appris tellement de mon père lorsque j'étais aider dans sa boutique et je me sens si elle n'était pas pour mon père de route pour faire des affaires, je ne serais pas qui je suis aujourd'hui.
My dad was also featured in numerous newspaper articles and was mention in the hot radio stations of class 95 back then with Joe and the Flying Dutchman in the morning shows. Mon père a également été présenté dans de nombreux articles de journaux et a été fait mention dans la chaude stations de radio de la classe 95 à l'époque avec Joe et Flying Dutchman le matin montre.
Some history of what my dad went through, he used to be in the Air Force for over 10 years and decided during the peck of his career where he would be promoted to a higher post. Un peu d'histoire de ce que mon père a connu, il était dans l'Air Force pour plus de 10 ans et a décidé au cours de la peck de sa carrière où il serait promu à un poste plus élevé. He did something most people would not do which was break out of his comfort zone and decided to open this food store. Il a fait quelque chose de la plupart des gens ne ferait pas qui était sortir de sa zone de confort et a décidé d'ouvrir ce magasin de produits alimentaires.
I guess one thing I really learn and take from my dad and it may apply to you too. Je suppose une chose que j'ai vraiment apprendre et de prendre mon père et il mai s'appliquer à vous. If you want to succeed in life always be in the position where you are not the most comfortable in. The more you break out of your comfort zone, you will realized you will experience an experience you never dream that you will ever achieve =) Si vous voulez réussir dans la vie toujours être dans la position où vous n'êtes pas le plus confortable po Le plus vous sortir de votre zone de confort, vous vous réalisé une expérience expérience vous jamais rêve que vous jamais atteindre =)

My dad no longer has a store.. Mon père n'a plus un magasin .. infact after that he closed the shop to be a taxi driver.. en effet après qu'il a fermé le magasin à un chauffeur de taxi .. and later on.. et plus tard .. now.. maintenant .. because my dad had an accident which he no longer not able to work because of that… he is not taken care by me and my family =) parce que mon père a un accident dont il ne mesure pas plus de travailler en raison de… que celui-ci n'est pas pris en charge par moi et ma famille =)
That is also another reason my drive to succeed is so strong =) C'est aussi une autre raison de mon envie de réussir est si forte =)
Omg..i loved your dad’s claypot rice, esp the salted pork claypot which was always out of stock. Omg .. i loved votre père claypot riz, esp la viande de porc salé claypot qui a toujours été en rupture de stock. That was many years back and I will always remember the smell and taste of your father’s food. I was desperately looking for your dad’s store and finally find it through your website. your dad’s claypot rice was VERY VERY GOOD. votre père claypot riz a été très très bon. till today i’m still missing it. jusqu'à aujourd'hui, je suis toujours portés disparus. there’s nothing near to his so far. il n'ya rien de près à son jusqu'ici. My favourite is the pork claypot rice. Mon préféré est le porc claypot riz. Used to pack it home almost every time my family and i pop by to Parkway Parade. Utilisé pour emballer la maison presque chaque fois que ma famille et moi pop par Parkway à la parade. Hope your dad recovers and that your family can get back into the business again. Espérons que votre père se rétablit et que votre famille peut réintégrer l'entreprise. I’m pretty sure it’ll be a hit. Je suis sûr que ça va être un succès.
