CPA Marketing – Day 3 & 4

I was busy yesterday helping my wife so did not really had time to update the blog, I run through my ads today some surprises came up

Problems & Mistakes

  1. I setup MSN advertising they do not allow bidding on branded names keywords
  2. One of the campaigns I set it to run under channel and not keywords made me spend $2.30 for nothing as the ads were not targeted

Spend So Far

$4.90

Earn So Far

$1.05

Profit

- $3.90

I realized my opt-in squeeze page is not converting well at 3.40% which is not that great yet time to tweak and improve it! But the interesting part was one campaign make 64 people viewing it giving it 4 unknown opt-ins and converted the 4 into 1 sale making me $1.05.

I was thinking of directly advertising the offer to try out for the next 24 hours to see what happens if I can make more sales from there not capturing the leads and focus more on the money instead of generating leads.

As based on what I see, everyone who opt-in so far never confirm their email which means they may have input a false email or do not want to be contacted. Anyways my main concern is getting the sales first opt-ins I will think about it later once conversion to sales improves

Current Products Promoting:

3 CPA Email Submits

Things To Do Today:

  1. Add on to promote 5 more different types of offers to test different niches but all under email submits campaigns.
  2. Check on keywords advertising see if I can add in more better keywords to the list
  3. Going to try advertising via MSN & Yahoo today although MSN disapproved my keywords today but I will try again

I am sorry to say that your blog isn’t as interesting as it used to be. I will keep checking back but I am not really interested in you details about cpa, cpm.

I would hate to be the one to say it but you need to post something other than your earnings or your promotions. I am an expert at the net but need to you for advice so post some advice.

It seems wierd to me that MSN does not allow you to bid on branded keywords. Do they have a complete list of companies and trade marks through out the world, no most likely they are just listening to their top advertisers. Anyways it looks like your opt ins could be given fake emails or your messages are now being sent to the spam folder. Do you put the little note on there to “check your spam folder”?

  4. well, you’ve earned 1 dollar.. not bad. at least.

  5. It might have been just me, but I never really had any success with the microsoft ad network. Haven’t tried it since they switched to bing. Curious if it does any better because my conversions were very poor.

Is this how much you would usually spend while testing a new campaign? I find that your conversion rate can be different by up to 40% depending on time of the day as well as other factors. When you do a quick test and spend $5 in the morning, you might actually have a profitable campaign but you won’t know it until you spend more in the evening.

Are you sure you want to be trying out email submits first? Those are actually pretty hard to get to a positive ROI as I’ve heard from lots of people having problems with them.

I would suggest you try something around 4-7 dollars payout that dont require any purchasing. Reason being you can send more traffic to see if it converts. If you stick with an email submit you send 1 dollars worth of traffic and no optins your already in negative ROI….

I realized that too.. I went to email submit because I thought it will convert better because it only require one input then an offer with 4 to 7 dollar may require a fill up of a form which is even harder to convert in my point of view.. but I will not know until I test it out

    keep going well.
