Building A Money Making Mailing List


It was said by most Internet Marketers that the money is in the list and it’s truly real! Because I live the dream of an Internet Marketing I know that list building is very important. Having a big email list is key in setting up any internet business. I believe some of you guys who subscribe to this blog are receiving tons of emails from me and I got some feedback so I thought why not I explain why am I doing this.

Mass Email Marketing

It’s a simple thing call mass email marketing and we only do this when we are in our promotion periods. What we would normally do is to blast to our list at least twice a day. One time in the morning and one more blast in the evening, the reason we do this is to ensure we as the marketers have the maximum reach to our viewers and potential customers. To allow it to really make it work you got to ensure the first email you blast in the morning is related to the evening email.

Just imagine a mail box filled with only my emails during the first week, the chances that you will be clicking on any of my email will be much higher and the response rate on the click though will be higher! I know this works because I have tested it on my list =) You will be suprised the response would also be interesting higher too.

Points To Be Aware Of

However the disadvantages to this tactic, you will get also a high drop out subscription from your list. At a normal rate when you blast an email you may get about 1 or 2 drop out subscriptions. But during a massive promotion period you may get as high as 5 drop outs a day, so do caution not to over do it sometimes. But however if you had build a relationship with your readers along the way, your readers will slowly understand what you sent are valuable information and what that would do is you build a trust within your loyal readers and they would be happy to read it in the end.

Why Should You Pitch In Your Emails?

In the pass I was VERY afraid to pitch in my email and guess what happen I did not even managed to earn $100 for a month! After I change the style of writing including pitching phrases and value behind the information the money seriously started to row in.

As in marketing, the more times I tried to expose to you a certain product or service the chances of you taking it up would also be much higher. Although there will surly be readers who will be unhappy about the mass emailing but it’s a small price to pay when you can make more sales from your product promotions and build real serious loyal customers.

Converting Freebies to Customers

Here’s a secret tip I did to my mailing list, during my pitch periods I would really sent you so much email that you would be force to drop out sometimes. But what I realized those people who took the offer actually are now my long loyal readers on this blog and most the FREEBIE people were filter out at the same time and surprisingly even some of them turned to customers too =)

I am not saying that FREEBIE people are not good, but when we blog we only blog for two reasons. To ensure we offer quality information and service and provide a service or product the viewer would one day become our customer. If you have read my pass post on this blog before you would know I never ever pitch before.

Is Blasting Twice A Day Too Much?

If you thought my email blast was too much, I have personally seen marketers who sent out email at a rate of 3 emails per day and they get lots of sales almost everyday. How do I know that? Because the marketer promoted my product once before and I was shocked to see 1,200+ active subscribers going to a site in one day that is what I call a STRONG buyer’s list!

Maintaining Your Leads

So how do my maintain our number of leads we capture? Before any mass promotion email campaign we would normally find ways to recover it by advertising or marketing the event to recover the lost of readers.     Alvin, Do you think it is best to have a huge list that is somewhat unresponsive or a small, super-targeted list filled with customers? I’ve heard good arguments (and tried) both, I’m just wondering where you stand with it. Sara

    Having a huge list will surly help your business a lot.. but you want to have a quality list and ensure they are loyal to you.. to ensure they always come back to you for more =)

    The key pointers is you have to try to be as super-targeted as you can and ensure they response to you as much as possible

  3. huge list is ok – but u will have poor stats, a more targets niche specific good relationship list is far superior to any – better stats in response

    Having a mix of Content along with sales is the best way to go. Just hammering your list all the time for money will burn it out.
