How I Started Making Money Online From The Beginning

Even since I was about 16 years old, I always wanted to started my own business. However it was until when I reached to the age of 21 when I got the guts to actually start one. Back then I always had a passion with computer stuff and started my first business in the IT line where I would help people to build websites.

The money was not that great at that time as I was not really good at one thing and that was Marketing. I did not realized the importance of Marketing until 1 year later in the business while I was working. I realized no matter how much business I did I some how would not grow my business as I was lacking of the skill in Marketing.

When I started to know about Internet Marketing way back in June 2006, I started to explore what Internet Marketing was. Many of my friends actually comment I was one of the fastest growing Marketers online and I did not really know why until I found out recently my name was published almost in all the popular marketing places online =)

As I heavily promote myself online and this blog you are reading which is currently serving well over 300 readers everyday and almost 90% of the effort of this traffic built on this blog was ONLY by using FREE traffic! Unlike many people, I was quite committed to my online business and would spend at least 4 hours daily on my online business, I guess that’s what happen when you are responsible for taking care a family of 5 =)

What Do I Do On A Daily Basics?

Although it was seriously not easy to work from home as my mum would constantly would ask me to go out everyday or just seek my help sometimes while I was actually on my computer working on my online business. What I would recommend if you are working from home, LOCK you door and put on a powerful headphone to prevent disturbance.. haha.. ( So far it worked for me =) ).

Every morning I would wake up around 9am or 11am sometimes depending what time I sleep. But normally I would sleep about 3am sometimes as I do some early morning skype interview online once in a while. Once I got up, I would open up my email to check email and I would easily get 400 new emails every day. Out of 400 which 30 of them are mainly support questions and it’s not easy to handle so many enquires are one time.

After answering all those email, that is where my real work starts. Normally I will look at my weekly marketing plan and see what task I have planned for the week. So if my calender puts this week is about building blog traffic, I would spent about 2 to 4 hours marketing online to other blog online or posting articles to article directories. (Yep I still do it manually).

Tracking Is The Most Important Element In Online Business

When I first heard of tracking I did not know it was so important to track your results as most of the time I was quite lazy to set it up. It was until one fine day I decided to buy a program to track my stuff and everything in my online business started to change!

My Passion For Online Marketing Started To Boom!

Since June 2006, it took me about 4 to 5 months because anything really solid came in. And in Dec 2006 I started my first product and everything started to change for me! My internet business started to grow and everything was going to the way I wanted it to be.

Already getting some success online, I knew what I did was right and I knew the formula to making money online I decided to teach others how to do it. I reminder back in my army days, I told my mum I want to be a lecturer locally but the only way I can do that is to get a degree in computer to do so. However I was determine to be really become a lecturer and so that’s how the “Traffic Mastery Workshop” came about!

Seriously if you ever attended my workshop before you would know I have a very unselfish mind when it comes to teaching because I teach and show everything I know about = ) Then for some reason I was instantly labeled as a “GURU”, which I really dont like. As Gurus only know how to teach and do not normally help students. I would preferred people to call me trainer then Guru as trainers help students where as Gurus do not.. =)

So later on in Feb 2007, I started my first batch of students. What started as a small group of students has grown to a massive one and this is how far I have came since then.

I always had a vision to be able to teach or talk to a crowd of 100 or more and it really happened just recently as you can see from the photo above = ) However my main aim to teaching others was not to earn from teaching, do not get me wrong as I make more money online then teaching others offline .

So Why Do I Coach Others?

Well for one very selfish reason, I am actually looking to train 50 successful people locally to help them make at least US$1,000 per month online. Once I am about to do that, all I ask in return was to ask them to promote me to their customers! By just doing that do you think I will be able to make more money online?

My goal as I told everyone who knows me, is to be a millionaire by end of year 2008 and I will not stop until I reach to that goal of mine =) That is the reason I work so hard to help others offline and online too. I believe the more I give to others the more I will gain in the future and I am beginning to see the effects or it lately =) It truly works.
