What I Learnt From Stephen Pierce - Part 1
Alvin Phang
del.icio.us it! | reddit it! | stumble it!

Hey guess what, I met Stephen Pierce again for the second time again! And this time round is back with even more knowledge and stuff he shared with us at his preview yesterday!

Here are some stuff I learnt yesterday and I thought I share it on the blog =)

Before I talk about what I learnt, maybe I talk about who Stephen Pierce is about. Basically he is now a self made millionaire now, making tons of money online (as much as US$100,000 per month) and he broke a record of earning just US$2 Million in just 3 hours of a launch with one of his business!

His background, he came from a homeless man for 3 months, was filed bankrupt three times and got shot before on the leg! Due to his will power to succeed, he now managed to climb up and he never stop since.

One thing I liked what Stephen shared was he said Everyday We Got To Sell Yourself. And the fact also he mentioned, we all are actually are bored salesman. A great example like how we work in our jobs. You sell to your boss that you are capable of the job and he is willing to pay you X dolllars for what you are worth! So if you are thinking you are not a sales person, we all actually are in some way, because everyday at work you are selling to your boss that you are good enough to be employed by him make sense?

What made him successful was when he read the book The Whole Truth and he publish it on the internet to show people the whole truth about the Internet! He was like many of us, who spend thousands of dollars on Ebooks, Softwares and Tools but ended up everything seems to be not working for him. He wasn’t a tech guy like me but he loves to do marketing and that is his strong point.

Using the anger he had within him, he started selling his product about The Whole Truth with only 1,000 people. He made his first $500,000 in 12 months of the business!

So what did he do? Well just spare 30 minutes a day doing internet marketing part time! Later on, Stephen got his 1st 2 employee and he started his empire!

An important quote he also shared was You will not succeed if you WANT to be successful, but if you MUST be successful then it will sure work. If you keep thinking I want to be successful, I want to be successful, you never will be unless you really MUST be successful! People need pressure to do things and when you have pressure you will be surprised what things you will do just to get it!

Most people will think that wanting to be successful is just a good idea, but what is being comfortable about being poor as what Stephen had first hand experience. That bought him the MUST to be successful!

He also went on to show a video clip ( I wish I can show you =P ) about You can focus on things, you will always have things you will still miss out. And what he was trying to relay to us was, all of us have skills in us and even thought sometimes we focus on building it there will always be things we can miss out on.

We all have time don’t we? But what do you choose with your time? Many will rather use it to enjoy themselves, go shopping, and see movies and but when it comes to marketing people will always find REASONS to not do! It’s strange but it’s truth! When is the last time you ever sell something to a friend? Hardly right? But when was the last time you went to do something to enjoy?

The reason why I can post on my blog everyday and update it everyday is because I set at least 1 hour a day sitting down thinking what should I write today. If you are thinking it is too hard then probably your mindset is not in the right mind right now and still thinking of other things that are not productive!

It is sad that most people see successful people only hearing and listening to the nice success stories but they never really hear the sad part about it how they got started! Most successful people like Dell, started off from his own home!

Bill Gates, the richest man in the world started his business with no money but had an idea to create software for computers within just 3 weeks without any money!

Do not always think Gurus are of any greater person then you. In fact they are just normal people just like us. Every one of us is different in their own special way and there sure is something that you are good in that others would want to know. You just need to know what it is.

If a person like Stephen can do it with no education and was bankrupt 3 times! I believe anyone can do it too =)

Watch out for the next part where I will share more, on what Stephen did to start his online business =)

Hi Alvin,

Great recap of last night’s seminar. I was there too and truly enjoyed the whole session - only wishing that it will run thru the night!

What you put up here will really help newbies like me. A constant reminder to succeed.
