What I Learnt From Stephen Pierce – Part 2

Frankly I was shocked how many people do not know Stephen Pierce, as he is seriously recognized as one of the top Internet Marketers in the world and was interviewed many times on TV too on all his successful stories.

During his seminar, there was also a slide showing a Barracuda VS Mullet. He was sharing with us the Barracuda was a big fish which like to hunt for Mullet for his food. But being small fish like the Mullet it was able to hide away from the big fish.

The Barracuda was angry was always not able to catch the Mullet and soon later as he kept trying and trying he gave up and guess what the Barracuda died of hunger. All the Barracuda needed to do was just never give up and try to catch at least one more time and he would not have died.

The problem with many people, even me myself I sometime feel guilty of it. We tend to give up before even able to realize we are just one more step to success. There is a saying I always have in my mind, “If you think you are there already, you are not to your max until you given your best.”

In business, you would not have 100% winners all the time, if it is that easy everyone would be millionaires by now. It is not how hard you can hit, it is how hard you get hit and keeping pressing forward that makes you successful always remember that.

It is also how much you loose that you can be successful. Many people always tend to see millionaire with their great success stories but they always fail to see how much they actually lost before they reach that status. To really be successful do a research and find out what did he went through to be that successful. You will be surprised the number of pitfalls he went through before he was that successful.

And the funny thing was Stephen mentioned this, since you are going to loose anyway why not risk high and go for a big risk. And that was what he did; he went for the biggest risk he can find. When you dare big, you loose big but you will WIN big!

Everyone is a Marketer

If you have a job, everyone can market yourself. Is it truth? Who we decide to market to, where to market, we are always marketing our skills to our bosses aren’t we? Why let your boss determine what your pay you get when actually you can deserve better.

Change who you want to market to and you will see a different person in yourself and reach new heights. As a full time businessman now, I am now not only happy about what I do but I can determine how much money I want to make not by my boss! The problem here is, most people in fact feel too comfortable and like to be in the comfort zone with a fixed pay!

Personally I have dear friend named Marc Tan, he has been the closest friend I have. In all his life, he was never involved in business before. But during his period of waiting to go for his studies, I thought him something that seriously change him forever. You want to know what that was? I taught him to depend on his own abilities and skills and started his own free lance filming business. From a person with no business in the past, he has seriously has grown and he even works for MediaCorp which I am very proud of until today =)

I did not realize this until when I started my business full time, having a fixed pay in fact is not a bad thing. But it can really limit my chances of being able to reach your goals.

Many people in fact have always claimed they do not know how to market. But if you think over it, you are actually a marketer yourself. Think about this, what do you do everyday at work? You market your skills to your boss that you are capable so that he keeps you right? Proof your boss that you can close deals bigger and better to hit targets, aren’t you marketing your marketing skills there?

In summary, we are marketing everyday and we market all the time just that we are not aware of it.

In the next part, I have copied another 7 steps on how we can successful start an internet business you would not want to miss this. Look out for it!
