How To Get A Software For FREE & Sell In 7 Days!
Alvin Phang
del.icio.us it! | reddit it! | stumble it!

I can actually keep this to myself, but I seriously want to help you guys so I thought of sharing this nice idea with you guys =) I am doing this in hopes someone right here who is reading this uses this and creates a product and email me for joint venture.. =P

Here is how you can get software which are totally free and sell it in 7 days or less!

1. Go to SourceForge.net (A Public Domain Software Directory)

sourceforge.jpg

This is really a great resource to find software for free, I found many for free there! In fact some of the free lancers online actually go here to get the scripts and reprogram it to sell! =P

When I was a programmer back then in my poly days, you will be amazed the number of scripts we copy and reprogram just to submit to our lecturers =) Almost everyone does it to get the grades.. =)

You will be wondering also sometimes how come these programmers can sell you software for $50 bucks for such wonderful software. The reason because it’s actually open source software just that they package it nicely and sell it to you!

And you can do that do legally as long as you follow the terms and condition! =) What you do at SourceForge, you find a software that you are interested to sell and download the software and test how great it is. There are tons of them there, I am very sure you will find something there =)

2. Outsource to a Local Programmer

Once you have find the software you want to market, go to forums ( not scriptlance or elance) to find programmers. Why? Because it’s cheaper there and you will amaze how faster and better they are!

Try your best to get them locally if you can so that you can meet them up or as long as the person you are working with online is easily accessible should be alright.

#Tip on outsourcing: Never pay until they deliver

3. Magic Repackaging

What you do now, get the programmer to script the whole script to remove all names of the source and input your own brand. It’s totally legal to do that as long as it’s a open source software =) Look at Linux, there are numerous versions by different vendors!

And that’s how you create software to sell.. I hope this helps.. and if you intend to really do what I just shared… do drop me an email I be interested to help sell your software =)

Here are a list of software I am finding
- Blogging Softwares
- Web 2.0 Softwares
- Submission Softwares
- Wordpress Plugins
- Wordpress Templates

If you have any of them or resell rights drop me an email here =)

isn’t it difficult to reprogram software? do you need background knowledge or studies in order to do that?

Does this site have any big brands like MS/symantec/adobe? Are any of these products worth distributing. I used to own my own software company b4 MS threatened to sue me so I had to close down I have some excellent experience in dealing with software and distriubting it. Contact me back if you think this is actually something worth getting into.

It is of course difficult to reprogram a software.. normally you need a few programmers to do it.. and a budget about $5k or more to start with
