名列前茅5原因為什麼人們退還產品
Alvin Phang
del.icio.us它!

Yes this is another shocking reason why people refund is because they just simply purchase and within the next 2 hours they would refund it immediately just to get a free copy :( It’s sad to see this but time and time again I see this happen to me many times.

Some even went to the extreme thought they are really smart and sent me a complain email stating they made a purchase and did not get their downloads but after I check my invoices I realized they did not even purchase at the first place (simply put they lie that they made a purchase).

Lesson learn here is always request for a receipt number from Clickbank before you give the download details ( there are always people out there who simply lie :) )

3. They Are Not Free To See Your Product

I am not sure how true this is , but the no.3 reason I always get people emailing me reasons for refund is they said they got into some accident or simply they are not free to look at the product and request for a refund ( pretty strange reason huh :P imagine you bought a book at MPH and after 2 weeks later you felt you not free to read it you ask a for refund :P)

4. They Did Not Get What They Wanted To Learn About

In some cases, after they have read the salescopy and find out what they bought was information they have already learn before and felt the money spend was not well worth paying as it’s just duplicate content for those experienced marketers.

5. Product Is Not Of Good Quality

So far, for myself I have no complains on the quality of my products so far but this is also another possible reason why people may refund because simply put it your product is not of good quality people will not be happy about it and request for a refund.

To prevent this from happening, what I normally do is to really under promise and over deliver with tons of bonuses and content for my members to go through to help them as much as I can :)

That’s it, I hope you find these tips really useful for you and if you have any further comments feel free to post them below this post :)

I ask for refund when I don’t learn something new and the seller did not deliver their promise of the “biggest secrets no guru wants you to know” and “make $500 a day without lifting a finger”.

For example, looking back at majority of internet marketing products they are all of the same tune. Everyone talked about keyword research(Wordtracker, Overture, Google), PPC(Adwords), SEO(keyword optimization, links), affiliate marketing(Clickbank,CJ,PayDotCom), squeeze page, email marketing, list building so on so forth.

Most are written by guru wannabes trying to make some quick bucks :)

Some even stuff lots of fluff to inflate the size of their reports with useless texts and images.

Very few are truly above the crowd and most products are simply over-hyped using 10-page long sales letters.

Hi Alvin,

Good quality advise from you.. Now i’m starting to understand why people do refunds..

But i’m sure there are alot of pple who do not like the product but feel lazy to get a refund because its too troublesome. So you make some nice profit as well right?

Regards,
Ivan

Alvin,

How about this one.

“Sir, your product was good and I took a couple of ideas. Right now I desperately need a refund, I no longer have a job”

Here’s another interesting one from a stop smoking eBook…

“Your book told me what I could find in Google in about 4/5 hours. I do have to thank you for the link in order to get the patches. Will try them, however, overall your book wasn’t the best. I rather go t omy doctor. Please give me a refund, I never wanted this guide in the first place!

—————————————————

Adjustment, reciprocation. Worked even better for stopping issues and emails. Third, improved quality for scarcity…helped all my products even more. Third testing option soon… physical packages.

I have a few more feedbacks but they are shorter, I loved the longer excuse ones. They provide insights to the mind who actually purchased. Incredible!

Cool topic Alvin.

I think that a big problem (as far as I am concerned) is that far too many ‘Gurus’ ‘Conmen’ call them what you will. Either don’t realise or don’t care that not every person who buys their product is as PC knowledgeable as they are. This, very often can come across as arrogance and indifference. What should not be forgotten is that regardless of how big they may think they are. Negative viral feedback can give them a kick in the A**.
I will never go back to a site that has given bad service. Never. Who can really afford that amount of arrogance?
Remember, Geeks, Gurus, etal. You had to start somewhere.
Be nice to the people on the way up. You may meet them on the way down.

Hi Alvin,

Do you have to repay all the money or does Clickbank also pays back or does the affiliate seller pay back as well : if so that shows which product not to promote in future…

Yeah of course you have to pay them the money :( But anyway Clickbank handles that… there is refund article on my blog you can search on which can tell you the refund rate of a product in Clickbank

I got quite lost in your calculation Alvin… Numbers in text never worked for me ;-)

Would appreciate it if you did the numbers seperately (do we really need to know that calculation in the first place?)

Thanks!

Hi Alvin
Refund from the purchase is the most scarely to know. Yet there are those who do that - but who are who - we do not know them. If I purchased a products that are too hyped with all the BS. Then my only choice is to get back my money.

Hi, Alvin!

If I’m not mistaken, ClickBank not only charges the publisher a refund fee, but the affiliate marketer as well.

Cheers!

I have a very low refund rate on Clickbank which I put down to having a very clear and easy to use download page and unadvertised bonuses.

In the IM niche people are savvy and download stuff daily but when you get into the crochet niche (or similar) your instructions have to be very clear and concise.

Cheers Ian

Great article Alvin. One of the problems is that Clickbank has to lenient of a refund policy. A lot of people know the lenient policy and completely take advantage of it. I’ve talked to quite a few people about this. A product can be very good, but, because of their leniency they will give a refund.

Reasons such as, “Oh well, I decided that I’m not going to get into internet marketing, so this isn’t going to help me.”

That is a completely BS reason to ask for a refund. The product can be great. Most people that use an excuse as shoddy as that, shouldn’t have purchased it in the first place. Problem is, they already have the download. For all we know, they are completely getting all of the benefit from the product. It’s just silly sometimes.

Anyways, guess that’s my rant! LOL

Great article Alvin

Cheers
Davin

It’s sad that people would ask for refunds, immediately after they downloaded a product. Is the refund granted to them by a system? OR does the seller have to clear the refund back?
