I have a program called X program selling at US$997 with a back end at US$2997. So what many gurus will do is they will start sending out JV invitation 3 months before the launch to inform all the big list marketers to promote the product and get a big fat 50% commission for selling the X program.

Just imagine this, I bring in 5 big marketers each has a list size of 100,000. That’s 500,000 people online and if a mail is sent out to these people normally only 10 to 20% of them would open the email. Out of those 10 to 20%, about 50% of them would click on the link to see the new product so that would result in about 50,000 clicks!

Let say you have the worst sales copy in the world and it only converts at 0.5%, that’s 250 sales which is already $250,000 in sales! ($997 x 250 = $249,250). Not forgetting I have not factor in the back end sales yet and all this is based on the the worst case scenario already, it may even hit half a million if it’s just 1% conversion

So Alvin What If I Have NO JV Partners Then How?

Well there is a saying if you do have it then BUY IT! You can buy 50,000 clicks for US$50,000 (taking it that 1 click is US$1 from Adwords ) or maybe you can spend $5,000 to $10,000 to attend special off line joint venture events to find partners

I was receiving emails to renew my domains names on GoDaddy and I thought it would be a good idea for readers who are reading my blog to remind you to renew your domain names if you have not done so.

As in the past I do encounter times when I forgotten to renew my domains I was charged US$9.95 per domain during the auto renews. Where as if I renew myself manually with the coupon “OYH3″ I would have save $3 per domain! And because I have over 20+ domains that $60 in savings!

When I was much younger (as if I am so old), I always had a great interest in computers and hardware. I think it was my father who brought this into me when I was young and I can still remember he bought a 486 computer for me play with when I young.

I think back then a 486 computer can easily cost about US$3000 to get one and all it does it just a simple dos mode. As I grew older I became more interested it and that got me to this poly course called Diploma in Info-Communication from Temasek Poly.

It has been a very busy week for me that I hardly got time to update my blog as I am preparing for the launch of Socialmatic - An online website portal with help to broadcast social bookmarks to other social web sites and ability to add friends too.

I think I would have easily spend over 50 hours in programming and design the site and I am quite proud of the end result we got so far. It’s about 95% complete just need to ensure there are no bugs before we launch the site for beta testing.

While I was programming and doing up the site I had some time to upload some images and some of my processes during my holiday trip to Bangkok and Beijing. Here’s a photo of me at one of the World’s Biggest Flea Marketing in Bangkok
